SwapRound is built for trading with people in your own neighborhood. Here's what we check, and what to check yourself.
Recall checks
We check listings against the CPSC recall database where possible. This doesn't guarantee every item is recall-free — inspect items before use and check for recalls yourself if you're unsure.
Verified Meetup Locations
Some pickups happen at a Verified Meetup Location — a spot we've checked for visibility and foot traffic, like a local business or community space.
Payment held until pickup
We hold a buyer's payment until they confirm pickup, so sellers aren't paid for an item that was never handed off.
In-app messaging
Buyers and sellers message inside the app. We ask everyone not to share contact information to move a conversation elsewhere.
What's on you
Meet in a public place, bring another adult if you're not sure, and inspect an item before you hand over payment or a child uses it. SwapRound facilitates the trade — the meetup itself is between you and your neighbor.
